Kevin O'Brien Century Against England helps Ireland to win the match

It was the 15th match of the cricket world cup 2011 at Chinnaswamy stadium Bangalore. The minnows Ireland shocked the England team by defeating them chasing world cup record of 328 runs. Kevin O'brien fastest century against England made this happen. He scored his century in just 50 balls. This is the fastest century in all world cups.



Earlier England set a massive total of 327. Three english men crossed half century with jonathan trott missing his century by just 8 short. England were very confident in defending the Irish as james anderson bowled the Irish skipper in the very first ball of the Ireland innings.

Ireland were 106/4 in 22.2 overs when Kevin O'brien come to crease. He reaches his 50 at the 33rd over in just 30 balls. Alex Cusack partnered him well as they both took Ireland very close to victory. Kevin O'brien scored his century in the 41st over and the Ireland were in need of 56 runs from 54 balls. He was out for 110 and john mooney played responsibly and took Ireland to Victory.
